Roles and Responsibility

Perform fixed asset accounting functions necessary to support the operations within the Corporate Fixed Asset Accounting area.  The position performs fixed asset accounting from the beginning of a capital project to the final disposal of an asset. 


Responsibilities includes

  • Set-up capital projects in the SAP accounting system
  • Capitalize assets from construction in progress when they are put into service
  • Transfer assets to different cost centers or between legal entities
  • Dispose of assets in the fixed asset accounting module
  • Post monthly fixed asset cashflow activity entries
  • Consolidate data for various monthly reports for the fixed assets department, such as CIP aging, ACT overrun, and project closing notices which compares project actual spend to project budget.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations as required.
  • Help as needed for fixed asset physical inventories
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Corporate Fixed Asset Accounting.


Supervisory Relationships: Reports to Supervisor – Corporate Fixed Asset Accounting

Organization Relationships:

  • Frequent contacts with non-Finance project managers, Group Finance departments, Corporate Shared Services, Accounting Practices, Treasury, Tax, and various Finance associates in each business.
  • Occasional contact with Internal Auditors




  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 2-3 years’ experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience in Microsoft application (Office, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Excel V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure with good problem solving skill.
  • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English required.
